Going back to the old "I have too much art sitting around" problem, I decided to try to alleviate the situation by separating the gift/trade/commission art from the rest.

Yikes. I think I can safely say that 95% of the loose art was for others. D:

SOOO-- I'm gonna take you guy's suggestion and see how many of you here will want to get them off me. All you would be paying is $5.50 USD (50 cents added to cover PayPal taking a chunk out of my stuff. This would pay for a) padded envelopes and b) actual shipping around North America. People overseas would have to contact me and we'll figure out something.

NOTE: These are all the plain lineart, done in either pencil or ink. PLEASE DO NOT EXPECT THE FINISHED VERSION IF IT'S A DIGITALLY COLOURED PICTURE.

I'm offering ballpoint pen stuff for $15...until the end of the summer. I realized that these took too much work to go for $10 and I'm gonna bump it up to a similar price as my graphite renderings, which is $20. But for now-- you can get one a bit cheaper!

...Trying to get myself up to speed with art. I'm still using the same sketchbook I started a year ago. This worries me, usually 100-160 page sketchbooks tend to be filled up in half a year. (Depends on if I'm also doing commissions, I never do commissions in personal sketchbooks, or before, comics. More on comics later.)

What kind of art would anyone like from me? Even if it's small stuff; it's fair game. Icons? Pixel stuff? Obviously not badges anymore.

Would anybody be willing to buy this guy for me in exchange for a commission around $30 in value? Bust portraits like Herald of Rebirth are $30, but if you want multiple smaller commissions that adds up to roughly $30 I'd be happy to oblige you.

(And yes, I'd really like that guy in particular; besides, he's the cheapest, all the rest may seem lower but the shipping costs drive the price up. :x

When I tried to file away some artwork into the cabinet where the rest of my art was, I finally realized that I don't think I can stuff many more cardstock inkings and such inside.

This is a problem. I've known that I'm pretty much swimming in old artwork, but it's getting a bit ridiculous. I have gift art from 2002 hanging around. Yeah. And I'm really not the type to toss art.

A lot, if not the majority, is fanart, so I can't legally sell it. I already decided that pikachuashnat has dibs on any Short Circuit and WALL-E fanart I do, but that's the least of my problems. It's all the damn Lion King fanart.

Then there's the gift art. I will not sell something I did for free. But, if I were to ask the people who I've done art for to give me their addresses so they could receive the original inks/pencils/whatever, even if only HALF the people replied the shipping costs all together will go up to something astronomical. And I don't even want to charge people for shipping. (Even though that's what I do with commissions. I dunno, it's just the whole fact that it's GIFT art. :\ It just seems incredibly rude to charge anything for gift art.)

No, I don't expect you guys to have any answers, but if you have any suggestions, awesome. But right now I'm finally allowing myself to feel overwhelmed about all the LOOSE art I have. And yes, this is the LOOSE art. This isn't including my 100+ ASC strips and 10 sketchbooks since 2000. (Well, roughly ten. There's some mostly-empty husks of sketchbooks in the pile, too.)

Okay, now I do have one thing to ask you guys: WHAT THE HECK DO YOU DO WITH OR WHERE DO YOU PUT YOUR ART?!!?!? O.O

Cheap art. Kind of desperate. And don't worry, I'm just about done with all the badges (one needs to be approved by the commissioner, last one is going to be done tonight.)

I'm really getting worried about my ability to work traditional media because my eyes can't focus on the paper for very long (if I close my eyes and/or look away for a few seconds, I can get a temporary fix) but I'm kind of screwed anyway if I want to do any kind of drawing that's not on the computer. So I'll just deal.

(My mom says that my eyes are just getting tired...but there have been NO REASONS for my eyes to be tired the past few times this happened. It isn't as if I had been reading a book with small print for an hour or even using the computer- in fact, the time I told my mom, I had just woken up from a nap. D: )

I had the weirdest dream this (morning.) I had seen this piece of art in an art book that moved me so much I was sobbing. I don't know why. I hardly remember what it was. All I remember is stars, and love.

Also, a part of the dream where I was reading a WERP novel with Deuce's past had butted right up against that part of the dream and so hence maybe that's why I was in the mood to BAWWWW by then.

Anyway, I have no idea what I'm doing with this, but I will say this:
Nebulae are hard to paint.

Okay I could get more art done but between the tiny, but blistered third degree burn on my right hand along with very painful cuticle I ripped out (when will I learn to never do that?) on the same finger, my hands aren't to happy with all these hours of arting. :\

I was really beginning to hate my old Christmas icon, so, with plenty of inspiration from binsybaby and nqn, I did this up. Like all things squished down, it looks better bigger, so here it is at the original 400 x 400.


A lot of things about Lillian have changed, but one thing will always remain the same- SHE LOVES SANTA HATS AND SCARVES EVEN THOUGH SHE DOESN'T NEED THEM.

....Ummmmm yeah considering I had to be torn away from my artwork with the allure of French fries only to have me go back downstairs, sit my ass down, and work for about three hours on one pencil drawing, I can probably imagine that since my dad won't be home the next coupla days and my mother won't be cooking, I'll be neglecting meals.

I'm trying to sketch more. I hope to have more art for my sketchblog, but sometimes...sometimes what I draw is too stupid for the sketchblog.

And sometimes I draw things that I'm not supposed to to spite commissioners who are being anal assholes and having me do a million revisions! It's only a small bit of revenge, but it's revenge.

Anyway.

*If you're wondering just what you mean by asshole, how would you feel if you did extensive revisions for a sketch not yet paid for and yet when the commissioner sees it he says "hmm, good, but the ____ still looks f*cked up to me." WHO. SAYS. THAT. I didn't say anything, but I hope whoever he says that next to hits him with a cluestick. HARD.

Every time I look my work in progress folders, there are pictures screaming "FINISH ME!" Some are commissions. Most are personal art. Personal art gets seriously neglected these days.

But this one, I was determined to finish. I couldn't finish it by last Halloween. But maybe I could make it for this Halloween.

UNRELATED: My mom's been pruning all the dead flowers and plants in the front yard and back yard. All the lovely flowers I had outside my window during the spring and summer are goooooooooone. And yet, the only thing I can really dwell on because of this is a plotbunny that EVE hates winter because the plants die. 8( I have no idea where WALL-E's truck is and such (when they did the hyperjump on the map it kinda looked like they were going to the Chicago/Great Lakes region, but I'm sure someone would say otherwise), but part of me wants to say it was a place where it snows just so I can write this for a little winter story. XD
